Form vs. Fiber

Form vs. Fiber began with a question I kept returning to: how much of an artwork is shaped by intention, and how much by the material itself? As co-curator, I built the exhibition around this tension—between control and responsiveness—bringing together artists whose work reveals process as a negotiation rather than a fixed outcome.

The exhibition paired works across disciplines to foreground texture, structure, and transformation, inviting viewers to consider how artists work with, against, and through their materials.

Alongside shaping the curatorial framework, I produced the exhibition—working through Pylot’s network to source artists, coordinate logistics, and design the installation as a cohesive dialogue across mediums. The project also marked a four-year milestone for Pylot, reflecting our continued focus on collaborative platforms for emerging artists and process-driven exhibitions.
