Unpopular Opinions examined how digital culture reshapes the formation and expression of personal belief. At a time when online platforms amplify and distort public discourse, the exhibition created space for artists to reflect on the tensions between individual perspective and collective opinion.
For this project, I co-curated and produced the exhibition in collaboration with my co-founder and theBlanc space. From an open call, we selected four artists—Ally Yanxiu Luo, Lingxue (Luna) Hao, Sherly Fan, and Rosie Kim—whose practices confront the discomfort, contradiction, and vulnerability embedded in expressing dissent.
Working across painting, sculpture, and digital media, the artists presented extended bodies of work that encouraged deeper engagement with the exhibition’s central theme. By focusing on a smaller group of participants, the exhibition prioritized depth over scale, positioning the gallery as a site for reflection on how opinion is formed, performed, and challenged in contemporary life.
